Part of the Dickens' Village Series from Department 56. Victorian England at the time of Charles Dickens was a center of culture for the world, where many traditions we celebrate today took shape.
Part of the "Gaslight Pubs" sub-series.
Since many people could not read during Dicken's time, the hanging sign of the boy with the hoop toy helped identify this establishment. Diamond cut windows and barrels add detail. This pub has both a side or a back entrance. During Dickens' time, public houses often had more than one door, segragating the different classes of society.
The Hoops lit building includes light cord and bulb. Uses replacement bulb #56.99244.
Coordinates with item #4020192 "Pub Patrons" accessory figurine.
